i wear braids most of the winnter but in the summer i wear it like an afro so it has to be pressed but when i play ball it is almost a tight fro again how safe is it to let someone run rhe hot comb thru?

If you're going to play ball, your hair is going to kink up, regardless, because of the heat. Maybe you can change up your rotation and wear braids in the summer and an afro in the winter. Or wear braids all of the time, especially if you're playing basketball a lot in the summer months. Anyway, you can get someone to press your afro, but if it's hot, it's going to turn into that little tight fro you're talking about. I know!
