a lot of people are saying hairspray... but really you should use hair wax, which you can get at any drug store or hair salon.

it's easier to style that way.

hairspray will pretty much just stiffen your hair up and doesn't let you style your hair very well..

just bend over grab some of the wax and start styling it up. :-)

Hand your head upside down (bend at the waist), comb, then hairspray. Stand up and make any necessary adjustments to it.

you mean a fauxhawk? i'm assuming you don't have the sides shaved if you don't know how to style it...

anyways just do the hair on the top of your head, don't bother with the stuff at the back of your head or down by your neck... just comb it upwards. blowdry it that way if you can; you can actually get a pretty good casual fauxhawk on medium-length guy hair from blowdrying it. if not, just comb it up... um, liberty spikes or a less structured fan is easier to make than a regular fan hawk, so you might want to try that. as for making it stay up... mousse, maybe, if you're good with it and want a more casual look, and hairspray for however you do it obviously, but if you want a stiffer, more structured look, you can use hair gel... if that doesn't work, one of my guy friends use glue mixed with water once, but he had long-ish and fairly silky hair so i don't think that you'll have to worry about that.

i'm sure that there's some websites that you could find devoted to mohawk/fauxhawk construction... try looking for those?
